The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Washington's oldest daily newspaper, serves the No. 1 market in the Pacific Northwest.

Known locally as “the P-I,” the newspaper had received numerous awards and accolades for its quality journalism, including two Pulitzer prizes for its editorial cartoonist, David Horsey—one in 1999 and another in 2003.

The newspaper's numerous public service projects include the Jefferson Awards, honoring outstanding community volunteers; the Sports Star of the Year Awards, saluting achievements of amateur and professional athletes; and the Readers Care Fund, a holiday-season fund-raiser benefiting local charities.

The Post-Intelligencer is published under a joint operating agreement with its main news and editorial competitor in the market, the Seattle Times. A combined Post-Intelligencer and Times is published on Sundays.
